Totally Insane, like the diabetes epidemic

The insanity of our current circumstances never ceases to amaze me.

The information changes daily. The interventions have zero actual scientific information backing them up. This worldwide lockdown is a grand experiment – we get to be the guinea pigs.

Now don’t misread me here – people are most certainly getting sick and dying of Covid19. Any deaths due to this are not acceptable. But I question the approach they are taking, and the cost (in health, financial ruin, and lives) that we are paying to try this experiment.

It is a bit like the grand experiment that has lead to the diabetes epidemic, and all of its pain and suffering. Diabetic neuropathy robs you of mobility, freedom, work, play and joy.

You Can Choose.

And it doesn’t have to. It can be stopped and reversed, without drugs or surgery, or sheltering in place.

It’s the reason I write this blog, teach how to stop and reverse the damage, and worked clinically to help hundreds of patients get their lives back.

It’s the reason I wrote my ebook, and created the courses and training I provide to help people stop the damage and heal.

And I can think of no better time than now to drop the price of my eBook to make it affordable for anyone who wants it. That’s why starting today until April 30 you can get your very own digital copy of the Seven Steps Compendium for just $20 using the code “lewis” right here.

The Compendium costs less than a couple of days of neuropathy drugs, and applying the information in the eBook could save you thousands of dollars and years of pain. It can save you from the diabetes epidemic.

Wisdom to dispel fear

And with respect to the current panic in our society – I could go on for hours on this topic, but I’d like to give you a quote from the venerable C.S. Lewis that sheds some perspective on our current situation:

In one way we think a great deal too much of the atomic bomb. “How are we to live in an atomic age?” I am tempted to reply: “Why, as you would have lived in the sixteenth century when the plague visited London almost every year, or as you would have lived in a Viking age when raiders from Scandinavia might land and cut your throat any night; or indeed, as you are already living in an age of cancer, an age of syphilis, an age of paralysis, an age of air raids, an age of railway accidents, an age of motor accidents.”

In other words, do not let us begin by exaggerating the novelty of our situation. Believe me, dear sir or madam, you and all whom you love were already sentenced to death before the atomic bomb was invented: and quite a high percentage of us were going to die in unpleasant ways. We had, indeed, one very great advantage over our ancestors—anesthetics; but we have that still. It is perfectly ridiculous to go about whimpering and drawing long faces because the scientists have added one more chance of painful and premature death to a world which already bristled with such chances and in which death itself was not a chance at all, but a certainty.

This is the first point to be made: and the first action to be taken is to pull ourselves together. If we are all going to be destroyed by an atomic bomb, let that bomb when it comes find us doing sensible and human things—praying, working, teaching, reading, listening to music, bathing the children, playing tennis, chatting to our friends over a pint and a game of darts—not huddled together like frightened sheep and thinking about bombs. They may break our bodies (a microbe can do that) but they need not dominate our minds.— “On Living in an Atomic Age” (1948) in Present Concerns: Journalistic Essays – C.S. Lewis.

Peace to your house. I mean it.
